Ms. Layne has garnered several Best Actress Awards internationally, as well as awards as Best Director. Ms. Layne has achieved outstanding accomplishments in the realms of writing and producing and has contributed her talents to social issues.
Ms. Layne is a provocative, brilliant actor, who captivates the camera with her honest, authentic character portrayals. Her passion for this work is extraordinary.
In the past ten years, Ms. Layne has concentrated her energies and talents as an actor in film. As Cha Cha, in “All American Girl: the Mary Kay Letourneau Story” with Penelope Ann Miller. During this time, Ms. Layne made the transition as both writer and producer on her own independent film productions, founding “Three Eagles Productions,” which is now an incorporated company EAGLES THREE PRODUCTIONS RISING LTD.
Ms Layne has had several of her films screened internationally. Her first feature film, "The Blue Rose", garnered her Best Feature at The Hamilton Black Film Festival. She was also winner of the Best Short Film Award for her film "In The Echo of Evil" for both the 2023 Hamilton Black Film Festival and the 2023 Aasha International Film Festival. She has also won Best Actress for her most recent film, “The Science of Fear”, along with nominations for Best Feature Film and Best Director at the 2024 Hamilton Black Film Festival. Ms Layne has garnered Best Actress two years in a role at the Hamilton Black Film Festival.
Ms Layne has written over 23 screenplays, producing eighteen, plus directing nine. Using the medium of film, she has earned respect in her edgy, provocative, performances, and social storytelling. Tijuana has just secured distribution rights for her second feature film, “The Science of Fear”, a film that she wrote, produced, directed and starred in. Ms Layne's 3rd feature film “The Color of the Heart” has also garnered a distribution deal through her endeavors.
Now with “The Color of the Heart”, Ms. Layne takes a stand on the issue of race and racism in present-day Canada.
